WHAT IS THE QIP?
QIP (Quality and Industrial Performance) is a framework used by PSA to evaluate its current or future suppliers.
This standard consists of three types of audits (NSA, PCPA and QSB+) that occur at different points in the product’s life cycle.
For who?
SUPPLIER INTERESTED IN ENTERING THE PSA PANEL
If your company or new production site is not known by PSA and is required to deliver to the manufacturer, it is mandatory to pass an NSA (New Supplier Assessment) evaluation. This allows you to be awarded a new project by the PSA purchasing department. The NSA audit assesses the site on the level of organizational maturity and the operational effectiveness of new project launches.
Only a quality service provider approved by PSA may carry out the audit. The audit is performed on site for 1.5 days and the result is valid for 18 months.
YOU ARE ALREADY WORKING WITH PSA
PSA intervenes during the industrialization and series production phases of a supplier. The PCPA audit evaluates the robustness of product development and manufacturing processes before launch of mass production. QSB+ (Quality Standard Basic) is a specific PSA quality certification that must be renewed every 4 years (including an annual self-assessment).
To not lose the certification and to properly comply with its requirements, it is advisable to conduct a preparation audit as well as preparation training (1 to 3 days depending on the need).
The QIP V4 simplified the audit reference system and added a new WIM (Warranty Issue Management) chapter for better management of problems guaranteed by tier 1 suppliers.

NSA AUDIT
- The company wishing to join the PSA supplier panel has the obligation to be audited by a service provider.
- Onsite audit for 1.5 days.
DELIVRABLES:
- Audit Report (synthesis in the audit end) and detailed report within 2 weeks
- Action plan analysis before final presentation to PSA
QSB+ PREPARATION AUDIT
- Preparation for the certification audits (2 days)
DELIVRABLES:
- Audit report or diagnosis
- Actions plan proposition to meet the expected level
QIP TRAININGS
- Training on the QIP basics (1 day)
- Training including a complete review of all QIP criteria (3 days)
- Onsite training
- Trainings also available online (TEAMS or ZOOM)
DELIVRABLES:
Pour formation 3 jours : auto-évaluation QSB+ en fin de formation QIP
(NSA/PCPA/QSB+) COACHING ET CONSULTING
- Coaching on one or several identified weaknesses during a preparation audit or audit performed by PSA
- Workshop organization to implement expected requirements (standards and application)
