Human Resources Generalist

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist to join the Heavy Transportation division. This role will be based out of Decatur, IL with potential regional travel. Expected salary range for this exempt level role will be $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year.

Overall Purpose

Responsible for the administration of various Human Resource functions. The functions include assisting in benefits, performance management, regulatory compliance, and personnel policies. The HR Generalist will act as a coach and consultant to the management team they support, and lead initiatives that focus on the human relations aspect of the business. Must demonstrate experience handling a variety of employee relations issues, and ability to exercise independent discretionary judgment with limited supervision.

Director of Human Resources or Human Resources Manager

Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Business development

  • Provides advice, consultative support and direction to the leadership team concerning all types of HR related issues

  • Provides day to day human resource support to employees

  • Serves as liaison between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and procedures and helping to resolve work-related issues.

  • Leads and/or participates in a variety of projects related to processes, employee activities and company programs.

Operations

  • Conducts new hire orientations

  • Receives and escalates employee relations issues and complaints to the HR Manager, supporting leaders in addressing corrective actions while ensuring appropriate guidance and approval processes are followed.

Organization & Management

  • Administers company health benefit programs to include new enrollments, changes and assisting employees in resolving health and welfare benefit-related matters.

  • Analyzes current procedures and makes recommendations regarding changes or improvements.

  • Assists in creating and documenting policies and procedures.

  • Maintains integrity of the HRIS and timekeeping systems, as well as personnel-related records.

Technical

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and SharePoint
