The newest AIAG/VDA FMEA standards were announced in 2019. Most transition and implementation plans are being rolled out gradually.
This year, Daimler is the first automotive OEM to officially implement the newest methodology. This impacts all suppliers working with Daimler, as they must now meet quality standards in accordance with the updated AIAG/VDA FMEA.
Here is a list of other OEMs we know planning to implement the new FMEA:
- FCA NA – New FCA PPAP Customer Specific Requirements to be launched in December 2020.
