A First Article Inspection (FAI) and a PPAP must be carried out for all new products/processes and updated when any design or production changes are made, in accordance with the requirements of EN9102 and EN9145 for the APQP/PPAP.

The engine manufacturers’ supply chain has established reference manuals (RM) for the core tools, in particular RM 13102 for the 1st Article Inspection, and RM 13145 for the APQP and PPAP.

It is in this context that we must be able to produce, update and validate an FAI or a PPAP.

  • To be familiar with the requirements of standard EN9145 for carrying out a PPAP.
  • Know the specific requirements of engine manufacturers for the APQP and PPAP, in accordance with the RM 13145 reference manual.
