Quality Inspector – short-term contract
Contract Length: Approximately 3 months Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Onsite Location: Plymouth, MI Schedule: Monday–Friday or weekend shifts depending on assignment Overtime may be available based on project needs
Friday & Saturday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Sunday & Monday: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Perform visual inspections of painted and unpainted parts Identify cosmetic defects, damage, or nonconforming conditions Report and document damaged or defective parts accurately Follow inspection procedures and customer quality requirements Maintain accurate inspection records and reporting documentation Communicate findings clearly with onsite leadership and project teams Support containment or sorting activities as required Follow all site safety guidelines and procedures Inspection performed directly on production parts within a manufacturing environment
Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred Experience inspecting painted surfaces or cosmetic finishes is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periods Dependable attendance and ability to work assigned schedule Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently in a contract role
