Description

  • The AS13100 standard “AESQ Quality Management System – Requirements for Aero Engine Design and Production Organizations” establishes supplemental requirements to all companies in the aerospace engine supply chain.
It is supported by the Consortium of Aerospace Engine Manufacturers (General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, Safran Aircraft Engines first and foremost), has been contractually applicable since 2023 and incorporates the principles and tools of operational quality excellence well known from the automotive sector.
  • Applicable to the supply chain of aerospace engine manufacturers, it is supported by a series of reference manuals (RM13XXX) which provide guidance on its deployment, as well as case studies, to help suppliers implement the requirements effectively.
  • This training course will provide you with the keys and best practices for deploying AS13100, which goes well beyond the 9100 & 9145 standards.
  • Understand the general context and structure of AS13100.
  • Learn the additional requirements to 9100/9145 standards according to Chapter A of AS13100.
  • Integrate the expectations of AS13100 in terms of APQP/PPAP implementation.
  • Learn about the quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, Control Plan, 8D) and best practices for defect prevention recommended/required by AS13100 (human factors, internal audit, supplier management, business continuity).
  • Learn how to use the RM13009 manual to self-assess your organisation with regard to AS13100 requirements and identify priority actions for maturity improvement.
  • Process managers.
  • Quality Managers.
  • Production managers and Methods / Industrialisation managers.
  • Purchasing and Supply Chain & Quality Managers.
  • Project managers.
  • Development, Methods / Industrialisation and Quality Engineers.
  • Internal Auditors / Lead Auditors.
  • Throughout the training course, participants are encouraged to take part in group activities that are directly linked to their operational concerns. Many exchanges and reinforcement of work help to promote the appropriation of shared concepts, tools and good practice.
  • The simplicity and logic of the guiding principles used throughout this training course ensure that participants learn the best practices for implementing AS13100.
  • The teaching approach adopted consists of analysing the additional requirements of AS13100 in relation to 9100 and dealing with case studies to ensure that the Quality prevention tools required by the standard are properly taken on board.
  • The training can also be tailored to the company’s specific needs, difficulties and challenges.

Knowledge test (multiple-choice questions)

Participant’s file containing the theoretical principles outlined during the training and exercise materials.

  • Have a PC with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: background screens are available on Zoom or Teams to blur or hide the rear view.
  • Have a good Internet connection, to be tested before the session.
  • Be installed in a quiet, isolated place ; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams ; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
  • Participants from the same organization should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at his/ her own desk, to avoid any side discussions during the session. Virtual sub-groups will be specially created for the exercises, which will also enable mixed groups.
  • Remote qualification/certification exams must be taken with camera and microphone open. We may also need to check that you are alone in the room.
  • Please connect 5 minutes before the start of the session.
