TARGET

• Contain defect batteries in a fast-growing operation with extremely challenging environmental issues such as having very high temperatures, very toxic
• Follow extreme PPE measures required while dealing with lead-acid based batteries
• Reduction of PPM and defects was important as the customer was on the verge of losing major volume with an OEM

NATURE OF SERVICE

• Inspect and contain quality issues to reduce defects arriving at OEM facility

TASKS

• Put in place a team of inspectors and supervisors to cover 24 hour/7 days shifts
• Experienced trained supervisors ensured stringent PPE requirements were followed, and accurate data was recorded
• Developed improved inspection methods to streamline process, improve quality as well as reduce number of inspectors on site
