Description

Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is a Lean management tool that visualizes the entire flow, from customer demand to the delivery of products or services. It helps identify value-added activities and sources of waste, allowing you to streamline and optimize both material and information flows to enhance overall performance.

Even if you have already implemented Lean projects, VSM provides a structured framework to guide your Lean initiatives and generate measurable improvements across the entire plant.

  • Understand the principles, challenges, and scope of Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
  • Identify the main flows suitable for VSM analysis.
  • Grasp key Lean concepts such as lead time, takt time, and Muda.
  • Create a clear and well-documented map of the current state.
  • Using core Lean principles, develop a high-level future-state map and define a macro action plan to reach the target state.
  • Industrial Directors
  • Production Managers
  • Process Managers
  • Future Lean Managers
  • Production Supervisors.

In open sessions, participants work from a case study inspired by a real-life scenario. They are guided to independently build the three key components of their first VSM: the current-state map, the future-state (target) map, and the macro action plan. A step-by-step review process ensures consistent progress and full mastery of the tool.

For in-house training, it is possible to focus on a company-specific situation with prior preparation. The training duration can be adjusted according to the study’s scope and the availability of existing data.

Evaluation of acquired skills through a questionnaire that includes role-playing scenarios.

Course participant file with training presentations and exercise materials. Training materials in digital format are made available to trainees a few days before the course.

  • Aurélien F.KUHN HUARD

"The VSM tool is explained and detailed step by step in a very practical way."
  • BENOÎT F.DEFONTAINE

"The combined learning of theoretical principles and their immediate practical application through IT projects and tools such as VSM helped to raise the awareness of our teams, whatever their position in the company. Today, the trend is reversed: it's visual management that's in the spotlight, and it's complemented by information systems, whereas a year ago it was the other way round. Pragmatism and participation of each individual take priority over everything else. "
