Description

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is a strategic framework that enables Aerospace and Defence (ASD) companies to standardise the development of new products and processes, while ensuring compliance with the sector’s stringent quality and reliability standards. Key deliverables of APQP include the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and the Control Plan (CP).

In managing projects within the Aerospace and Defence sector, your objective is to implement a robust project management process that will:

  • guarantee on-time delivery of outputs that fully meet customer requirements,
  • provide early warning to management in case of project deviations,
  • address and resolve inevitable project issues efficiently,
  • foster clear and effective communication within the multidisciplinary project team.
  • Gain a clear understanding of the challenges of the APQP/PPAP Manual for the aerospace industry (as outlined in the SCMH guide) and establish connections with the AS/EN9100, AS/EN9145, and AS13100 standards, as well as the RM13145 manual specific to engine manufacturing.
  • Learn to structure a project into 5 phases and identify the expected elements and deliverables for each stage.
  • Acquire the ability to measure project progress by evaluating the maturity of deliverables.
  • Develop the skills to effectively organise and coordinate a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Understand the links between APQP and risk management, special requirements, and key characteristics.
  • Design and formalise an action plan to implement APQP within your organisation and across the supply chain.
  • Project Manager.
  • Project team
  • Industrialisation Manager.
  • Quality/ HSEQ manager, engineering and technician staff
  • Quality Auditor.

The course alternates between theoretical sessions on the recommendations of standard AS/EN 9145 and practical sessions involving case studies and examples. The main requirements of AS/EN9145 and AS13100, including those of manual RM13145, are presented during the training.
